Repeat customers We keep finding ourselves coming back to SOTN. We've always had excellent food, served with a smile. If we're there in time I always go for the full breakfast. Quality ingredients from artisan local suppliers cooked well, it's the perfect recipe. I'm sure we'll be back in the not too distant future. Keep up the good work ?

Very tasty brekki You can't go wrong with this breakfast. Its just the right size . Its a very clean meal no grease or fat on the bottom of the plate unlike other places I have tried. The bacon is tasty and is good quality. But best of all is the service. You always get a warm friendly welcome . The staff are always busy but take time to answer any questions or queries. Top notch

A rare find! This place is wonderful, stylish and peaceful even when busy! Today we took out 18 month old granddaughter for lunch, she had children's fish goujons with chips and peas. The goujons were full of lovely flakey fish and she ate the lot. I had the steak melt. Rump steak with melted mature cheddar and grilled onions. I think this was the best sandwich I've ever eaten, tasty and cooked to perfection. My husband had the Yorkshire pudding wrap which today was roast pork and stuffing. Another winner. Absolutely fantastic and quickly becoming our favourite place to eat locally.

Booked a table for breakfast Booked a table for breakfast on Saturday and I was not disappointed. Great service, we were greeted with a genuine smile. My 6 year old daughter gave the blueberry pancakes with Nutella a huge thumbs up! I too had the pancakes (plain) with a bit of a mix of what I like. Absolutely will be dining here again.

Delicious food First visit today and it won?t be our last. We ordered two hot sandwiches and shared. The salad was fab with a lovely fresh dressing. Not sure I like paper cups for tea but perhaps that is due to Covid. The staff were efficient and friendly. Lovely clean and wide open space with excellent distancing, sanitising etc. Can?t wait to take our friends when we are able to.

First time visit We have recently moved to the area and fancied finding somewhere local to have brunch, our usual place was fully booked and we happened upon Sons of the North through trip advisor and thought it was worth a try......especially as it was right on our doorstep! We were not disappointed, we had a lovely warm welcome from multiple staff members and were seated at a table within seconds. The menu is varied and is guaranteed to have something for everyone we chose to have the Eggs benedict & the poached eggs on toast with avocado and smoked salmon. The portion sizes were big and very good value for money, the taste of the food was great and the quality of the ingredients speaks for itself - we had initially been eyeing up the homemade cakes on display but after our food we were completely stuffed! Including drinks everything came in at less than ?20 and it was definitely worth it! Although it was our first visit, it will definitely not be our last and its great to be able to support such a great local business too! Thank you and we will see you again soon!

Best local cafe Absolutely love this place. The staff are great. The inside is clean and spacious and the outside is covered and really handy for takeaway coffee. Food is sourced locally and always fresh and tasty. You can also buy local products from the small store inside. Recommended.
